MICHAEL REGULA

Therapy for men tired of navigating life on their own.
You're successful on paper — but the anxiety, burnout, and lack of close relationships tell a different story. Let's get you out of your head and into a more fulfilling life where people actually know you.

Working with clients in New York, Florida, California, Texas, and New Jersey.
Michael Regula MHC-LP, MA

I spent years as a Navy SEAL before I became a therapist. I've coached, taught, and led people through pressure most people never see — and I've felt the weight of it myself. Now I help men do the same work: get past what's keeping them anxious, burnt out, stuck in comparison, or disconnected from the people who matter.
My approach is collaborative, dynamic, and focused on practical outcomes. Drawing from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Adlerian psychology, and Narrative therapy, we'll start by assessing where you're at and what's actually in your way, then map a clear path toward a more fulfilling, connected future. We'll unravel the past only as much as we need to — just enough to uncover the patterns keeping you stuck, not to dwell there. The name of the game is lasting change, not a temporary fix. Therapy is action-oriented and purposeful — helping you build resilience, strengthen your sense of identity, and move forward in work, relationships, and self-worth.
Most of my clients are men in the early or middle stages of their career, building lives in big cities — the kind of guys who look like they've got it together but are quietly exhausted by the effort it takes. Common threads: anxiety that won't switch off, burnout from always being "on," trouble building real friendships in a city that never sleeps, partnerships that feel harder than they should, and the never ending comparison to someone else's highlight reel. I also work with men navigating identity, struggling to live authentically, and clients during major life transitions — post-college, divorce, or career pivots.

INSURANCE
Financial circumstances should never get in the way of quality mental health counseling and therapy treatment. I understand that navigating insurance and other financial options for services can be complex—if not overwhelming. Please note, not all insurance companies are covering telehealth. If they do, they may not pay the same rate as in person.
